Jelly Belly’s Beer Flavored Jelly Beans

jellybean

Jelly Belly Jelly Beans has come out with a new flavor and it has parents quite upset. Draft Beer is the newest creation from Jelly Belly and it takes like a draft beer.

Jelly Belly has come out with a new beer-flavored jelly bean meant to emulate the “effervescent, clean, crisp and wheaty taste” of a German Hefeweizen ale.

The new flavor has unexpectedly polarized candy lovers. Thousands are thrilled by the new flavor, but a number of people are outraged by it, saying it will encourage kids to try alcohol and could even trigger a relapse for recovering alcoholics.

“I am so angry and disappointed about this decision,” Facebook user Mindy Chemaki wrote on the company’s Facebook page. “I have been a big fan of Jelly Belly since I was 13. And now you have developed a flavor that that may encourage minors (like I was 20+ years ago or my own children today) to develop a substance abuse problem. Just as bad, have you though about recovering alcoholics who are harmed by such an influence?”

“Kids will taste these beer jelly bellys [sic] and like the flavor and want the real thing,” Denise Evans wrote. “They won’t be tasting them in [my] house but teens are teens and will buy them.”

Another Facebook user wrote, “We don’t need that for our children. We aren’t going to buy any more. Just lost a lot of customers this way.”

So what are your thoughts on a Beer flavored Jelly Bean? Will you allow them in your house? Leave your comments below!

NBC To Air ‘Peter Pan Live’

‘The Sound Of Music’ was such a success for NBC that they have decided to try the same thing again in December of 2014 but this time they will air ‘Peter Pan Live’. Of course this was just announced and no cast have been added to the show at this point but I can’t wait to figure out who may play who.

‘PETER PAN LIVE!’ TAKES MUSICAL FLIGHT DEC. 4 ON NBC

On the heels of the very successful airing of “The Sound of Music Live!” in December, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt announced today that the network will present a new television production of the classic musical “Peter Pan” as a live telecast on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.

Multi-award-winning producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who produced “The Sound of Music Live!” will again executive produce the production. Casting is currently on a fast track.

“The Sound of Music Live!” that starred Carrie Underwood averaged a phenomenal 5.6 rating in adults 18-49 and 22 million viewers overall in the live-plus-7 totals from its Dec. 5 telecast.

“We’re very pleased to be underway on ‘Peter Pan’ as our next live holiday musical for the whole family,” said Greenblatt. “We were all delighted to see how ‘The Sound of Music Live!’ struck such a chord in December and brought nearly 19 million people to the live telecast plus another several million viewers over the weekend. In the hopes that lightning strikes twice, we think we’ve landed on another great Broadway musical — which ironically also starred Mary Martin — that is a timeless classic for all audiences, young and old, who just never want to grow up.”

Chechen Extremists Threatens Olympics

HT_1_martyrdom_video_volgograd_bombers_jt_140119_16x9_992

A Chechen Extremist group has threatened violence at the Sochi Olympics that begin February 7, 2014.

Citing a new “surprise package” for Russia and Olympic spectators, Islamist militants in the North Caucasus =Sunday launched a new threat to the Sochi Olympics with a purported “martyrdom” video by two suicide bombers who attacked a transit hub 400 miles away.

The video posted on a Chechen extremist site considered a credible platform for militant statements featured two unidentified men before the black flag of jihad and cradling AKMS rifles.

The duo — dressed in street clothes and without the usual trappings of jihadis — casually explained that Russians and those attending the Winter Games next month will not be safe as long as forces sent by President Vladimir Putin occupy the North Caucasus region near Sochi, Russia.

“We’ll have a surprise package for you,” one of the men said in the militants’ video. “And those tourists that will come to you, for them, too, we have a surprise. If it happens [the Olympics], we’ll have a surprise for you. This is for all the Muslim blood that is shed every day around the world, be it in Afghanistan, Somalia, Syria, all around the world. This will be our revenge.”

The new video posted online overnight showed news and security camera footage of two suicide bomb blasts late last month at a busy train station and a commuter trolley in the city of Volgograd, which is a major transit hub in Russia.

U.S. officials said they are studying the video.

The video comes one day before the Olympic torch relay is scheduled to go through Volgograd Monday.

U.S. intelligence officials consider the threats from the Islamic terror groups against the Olympics to be very serious, which helped lead to the unusually strong travel advisory issued by the State Department this week for Americans who plan to travel to Sochi for the Olympics.

“I think the threats are real. [Islamist Chechen leader Doku] Umarov basically called for attacks on the Olympics,” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Mike McCaul, R-Texas, told ABC News’ “This Week” today. “I think you’re going to see attempts to do that. I think it’s more likely that the attacks will happen outside the perimeter, more soft targets, transportation nodes.”

Farmer Dumps Tons Of Manure On Parliament

The French are protesting their government in the grossest way possible. Can you imagine if someone did this in the U.S.?!

1

An angry farmer pulled up in front of the French Parliament building yesterday and unloaded this massive heap of horse dung. “Out with Hollande and the whole political class, long live the Sixth Republic” was printed on the side of the truck. Francois Hollande is the president of France and he has been criticized for his party’s austerity, which has affected farm subsidies.

Thewire.com reports that the man was arrested and that cleanup crews eventually arrived to properly dispose of the giant pile of crap.

Manage Multiple Accounts From Chrome

multilogin

Many of us have more than one social profile whether it be on Facebook, Google or Twitter. One of the more difficult things is logging into say Facebook or Twitter at the same time from 2 different accounts in the same browser. You can’t. The old trick has been to run more than one browser. You would login to one Facebook account from Google Chrome and one Facebook account from Firefox. That is a pain. We have found an easier way to accomplish this in Google Chrome using Icognito with a twist.

The Icognito Window in Google (Ctrl+Shift+N) allows one to use Google Chrome in a new instance allowing them to login to a second account like Facebook or Twitter. The big drawback to Icognito is that it opens your new session in a whole different Chrome window and there is no way to pull the window back into your current tabs. Of course you can run multiple tabs in the Incognito mode but this defeats the purpose of 1 browser and 1 window.

Today we found an extension called MultiLogin in the Chrome store that will allow you to open that Incognito window in your current Chrome window and open those second accounts.

Luke Bryan’s Stage Collapsed

0117-stage-collapse-twitter-3

Country singer Luke Bryan’s stage collapsed Thursday night sending crew to the hospital but it doesn’t mention Bryan himself.

Several stage hands were rushed to the hospital Thursday night after Luke Bryan’s Ohio State concert … after the singer’s stage collapsed, TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us … a forklift crashed into a portion of the stage during take down, and it crumpled.

We’re told 4 people — including guys from Luke’s crew as well as arena staff — were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries. Their current medical status is unclear.

Luke’s next concert — scheduled for tonight in Lexington, KY — has been pushed to February because of obvious stage problems.
